Plain Acerola Jelly Recipe

Do you like acerola? In that case, pay attention to this simple acerola jelly recipe that will surely be to your liking! Easy to make and very tasty, you can't resist this homemade jelly. At specialfood I share with you the step by step, so check it out and try it!

Ingredients for making simple acerola jelly:

 1 kilogram of acerola

 2 units of medium apple

400 grams of sugar (2½ cups)

 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

How to make simple acerola jelly:

To make this acerola jelly recipe, place the whole acerola cherries and finely chopped apples in a pan. Cover with water and cook until both fruits are tender.

Tip: We use apples in this recipe because it is a fruit rich in pectin and, therefore, helps to obtain the ideal jelly consistency.

Then pass the fruits through a sieve, pressing well to use all the juice and pulp. Return the juice to the pan, add the sugar and lemon juice and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick.

When your simple acerola jelly is halved and thicker, turn off the heat and place in tightly covered jars. The jelly will be thicker after it cools and can be stored for months, as long as it is tightly closed.
